volunteer

The volunteer work in Ying Yuan shop In April 29th and 30th I took a job in Ying Yuan shop by my mother’s recommend. In fact, I do not like work in a shop because as a shopper you should listen to other people and sometimes can be looked down on. No more grumble, just do it.. I wore the overall and stood beside the counter. The shop sells clothes, cigarettes and drinks. Another salesperson was a woman. She and I were waiting for our customers. One hour has passed, nobody patronage our shop. Suddenly, an old man came to our shop, he looked around the whole shop, I thought he might need help, so I walked to him, I asked him politely,” what can I do for you?” the old man said,” I need the shirt with hat,” I brought him to that area. I introduced many kinds of shirts to him, he looked at them carefully, then he stopped in front of a black shirt, he looked satisfied with this shirt, so I encouraged him to try it on, after a moment, he walked out of the fitting room, and looked at himself in the mirror, he turned around and looked at the mirror carefully. I said to him,” you look quite nice, what do you think of the shirt?” he smiled at me and said, “Yes, quite suitable, how much does it cost?” I looked at the label, and said,” five hundred Yuan.” He looked upset and said to me,” the shirt is too expensive, can you give me a discount?” I was nervous at that time; it was my first time to deal with this kind of problem, but I still said to the old man politely,” sorry, it is not decided by me, I am just a worker, I worked for my boss, I can’t do it for you.” He looked sad, he said,” ok, can you help me to change a cheaper one?” “No problem.” Then I introduced some cheaper shirts to him, the old man chose another black one, he paid for the shirt. At last the old man carried the shopping bag happily and left our shop. It was my first business, it gave me more confidence, and I was powerful until the end of the volunteer work. I was happy the whole day. In all, I liked the volunteer, it gave me more experiences, I can feel the society by the experience, I was hopeful about my future. I thought the volunteer was meaningful, because during the work, it was not easy to treat customers well, I could understand my parents. However, by the work, I saw the difference between the rich and the poor, many adults spent a lot of money on the clothes, but some people just bought a few clothes, and the clothes they bought were the cheapest in the shop. I hoped our government could change the condition; the poor could gain the same treatment as the rich.

regions

April 26th, I went to shanghai to visit Catholicism Cathedral. I went to shanghai by train. It was exciting to take a train. It is clean and fast. After eating lunch I went the Catholicism Cathedral. When I saw the Cathedral I think it was wonderful and majestic. I took photos in the front of Cathedral and then I went into the cathedral. I was so surprised to see the western classic building. I just like in the heaven. I have amazing felling .Nest the guide introduced me the cathedral. First it is prelude called the lord is in his temple call to worship. The leader said: how can young people keep their way pure? By guarding it according to your word. With my whole heart I seek you; do not let me stray from your commandments. I treasure your word in my heart, so that I may not sin against you. Blessed are you, O LORD; teach me your statutes. With my lip I declare all the ordinances of your mouth. I delight in the way of your decrees as much as in all riches. I will meditate on your precepts, and fix my eyes on your ways. I will delight in your statues; I will not forget your word. Swimming club

When I was a child , I was afraid of water. I think water is a freak . It is dangerous because it can kill people. And my grandfather told me that a people died when he was swimming. But I really want to swimming in the river like a fish. My good friends victor and peter are all good at swimming. A lot of times I went swimming with them , but I just sit near the swimming poor. I was so sad that I can not play with them. So I try to overcome myself. In this term , I have been a member of swimming club. And I took my first activity in this club. I think it is very exciting. I went to swimming poor with victor and other club members. When I wore bathing trunks and stood near the swimming poor , Oh , my god, I was so fear. I try to put my foot into the water. “ so cold ” I said to myself. Suddenly , victor appeared in front of me and wet my body. I felt cold from my head to my feet. Then he swam away. After a while , I entered the water slowly. At first, I just jumped a little in the water at the same place. Gradually I started to walk in the water. It is hard to control myself. I lost my gravity and drank a lot of water. They all came around me and told me how to swim. I was moved by them. It is friendship. I spent a happy time in the swimming poor. Although I can not swim by their teaching but I learnt the friendship.

The drama show

On April 25th , 2009.I went to shanghai with my classmates to watch a drama show called . It is an original classic drama from England. We went to shanghai by train. It is exciting to take a train. It is clean and fast. On the train , we can not wait to meet shanghai which is one of the most fashionable city in the world. when we arrived there, it is nearly afternoon. We were so glad to see such a modern city and watch the wonderful drama show. After eating lunch, we took a taxi to see the beautiful view of shanghai. We spent all the afternoon to enjoy ourselves. Nightfall, we went to Shanghai Dramatic Arts Center. There were a lot of people waiting outside. Most of these people are foreigners, some of them are students and young people. We can not take photos because if we take photos we just like infringement of copyright. When the show started, everyone kept quiet and paid a lot of attention to the performers. The performers use their wonderful action told us a romantic and sorrowful story about Romeo and Juliet. But the performers use the sad story made a lot of fun from their body language and words. By degrees, I just like in story .When the lovers were felicity, I felt happy. When the lovers were sorrow, I felt sad. When I saw Romeo thought Juliet was died in the graveyard and he was so despair that he drank the poison, I want to curse him. Because of their child’s death , the two families have realized and they have become friends. When the show was over , I tried my best to clap. In the bed , I still thought the show. It is wonderful.

Exhibition

On the 7th of March 2009 I went to a art gallery to watch the art works.I went there with my friends.We arrived there about 10 o’clock. We went to there because the place is close to our school. But to my surprised , the art works are all from a girl in NanJing Foreign Language School. I am proud of her.

When she was a child, her parents asked her to practice calligraphy. She won a lot of prizes on the international match. Long time ago , I also practiced calligraphy, but I gave it up because of my study.I have no time to do it longer.I am not as persevere as her.

There a lot of handwritings in the art gallery.During my visiting time, I saw the different typefaces from different times in china.From her handwriting,we know our Chinese spirit .I saw the develop of the form of written..It changed from loaded down with trivial details to oversimplify. There some big art works and a lot of small art works.The calligraphy was made by our forbears and I was vibrate by them frofoundly.

From her handwritings we can know she spend a lot of time on calligraphy.I know it is very laborious to do this work because I also did it long time ago.I am very happy that Ican see the art exahibition.

Japanese restaurant

On the 14th march, I went to a restaurant of Japan. The restaurant is in 1912 in Nanjing. I went there alone. At 6:00 I left the dorm and went to the Japanese restaurant called Dayu.

The cooks in the restaurant are good at sheet iron burn.I want to go to the restaurant because I like roast food very much.I saw it on the Map magazine.I chose some food from the menu that looks delicious.I do this because it is my first time go to a Japanese restaurant and I do not know which one is suitable for my taste.

The restaurant runs by buffet.You just pay 150 per person and you can eat until you are full.The cooks cook food face to you.After 10 mintues,the food was ready for me.Well,good.I like it very much.I am glad to make this plan to eat in the restaurant.It is a little different from the food we usually eat.

The environment is just like Japanese house.there many kinds of people there.I like the food very much.

sports activities

During my Spring Festival holiday,I did sports everyday .I palyed basketball everyday with my uncle.He is older than me,so he has a lot of effort.My body is not as strong as his.But I can jump higher than him and Ican run fast than him.We played basketball for 40 minutes each day.During that time we are happy.Wejumped,ran and laughed.We enjoyed ourselfe.Every morning we got up early to do exercises.There is a river near my house.My uncle and I ran along the river.During we raning,we can saw the beautiful view of winter and enjoyed dawn.
I like sports and I also falling in love with basketball. Because basketball, let me rediscover the spirit feeling, especially the shooting of that moment, people feel a great sense of accomplishment. I like this sport because it is full of passion, it let me know the pride spirit. Over time, the fascination with basketball has gradually deepened.The same as learning ,playing basketball also need methods. My volenteer club

During my first year study in GCA,I took part in Volenteer Club.I love this club because it is for animals.I love animals when I was a child.I had a dog when I was 10 years old.My parents gave me a black and white dog as my birthday gift.I love him very much.We played together everyday.But after one year he died because of the heart disease.I am very sad.He is not a pet ,he is my friend.Ha,ha because of the club I can take care of animals.I am angry with the stray dogs' and cat's masters.They do not need these animals because they are ugly or have some problems with their body.
I am excited to do my club activities.On sunday morning at 7:00,we finished on shanghai road.After an hour we went into a bus .The bus carried us to the dog's and cat's base.We took a lot of food for the animals.There is pet food,a lot of duck livers,rice in the bus.My classmates also bought a duck for dogs.The feeders said:they will not able to make the animals live if the number of the animals grows. The feeders also said:they hope people to raise money for these animals and they could adoption these animals for free.One hour later,we arrived at there.Dogs barking everywhere .We can not wait to fed the dogs.I do not like the smell where the dogs live.It is terrible.I fall sick.But I endured.When we fed these animals ,they are crazy and excited.I am very sad. I thought that why people want animals like this. People are also animals.Why they do not think for the animals.There are mang kinds of dogs and cats in the base.On the surface,the dogs and cats are happy.But I do not know in their mind what they are thinking about..On that day we did not eat lunch because we are said.At 18o'clock,we went back to Nanjing.On the bus we did not talk,we were thinking,thinking about people's action.

The German restaurant

December 18, 2008 I and my classmates went to a German restaurant called SECCO. We eat through this foreign culture.We ate steak and the liver of the duck.Of course we drank the famous Germany beverage .Because we eat too many years of Chinese food so we are not in the habit of German cuisine.There are not many people in the restaurant.But the restaurant has sentiment.Restaurant has a strong culture of Germany.People in the reataurant did not speak loudly.They just do their own things.From the activity I know more about GermanyIn Germany and China, there three meals a day. In some places between lunch and dinner in the afternoon people drink coffee and eat cakes. Eating habits with the Chinese is different from most about Germany, not the most abundant lunch and dinner, but breakfast.Germany family dinner is usually buffet, which is very rich: a meat platter; delicious fresh vegetables, such as small carrot, tomato, cucumber; fresh fruit such as grapes, cherries. Some housewives also put all kinds of flavor in cheese, the staple food is bread.During free dinner time, a person sitting at the table, talking while eating.In Germany the family, a very long time ago since breakfast means the beginning of the day.
